Kohler plans to establish a new $300
million factory in Arizona that will create hundreds of new
jobs.
AZ Big Media reports that the Casa Grande, Arizona, city council
approved a development agreement for the 1 million-square-foot
facility on Nov. 9. The company expects to hire 425 workers within
five years of completing the project, while a regional economic
development group estimated that the campus would generate an
economic impact of more than $1 billion overall — $13.8 million of
which would go directly to the city.
Casa Grande officials plan to expand and upgrade roadways around the
200-acre site. The facility will reportedly take about 18 months to
complete; a date for the beginning of construction was not given.
