ESCO Hits a Monumental Milestone: Celebrating One Million Strong and Growing.

Twenty (20) years ago, the ESCO Institute broadened its outreach by offering the EPA Section 608 certification program. Since that time it has grown into the industry's largest provider of the EPA Section 608 exam and the industry leader in certification with over one million strong and growing.

Over the years, the Institute has continued to expand its certifications, training programs, and services leading to the successful launch of additional industry related organizations that make up the ESCO Group including: HVAC Excellence, the Carbon Monoxide Safety Association, AC&R Safety Coalition, ESCO Press International, ESCO of Canada, and the Green Mechanical Council, all with a mission to serve the skilled trades with a focus on the HVACR and building science fields.

The ESCO Institute, together with its affiliate organizations, currently offers over seventy (70) industry exams including a number of specialty certifications such as: duct and envelope, residential heat gain/heat loss, combustion analysis, system performance and the EPA sections 608 and 609. Also available are a number of student outcome assessments, technician level certifications, educator credentialing exams, and a series of energy auditing certificates.
